Master 2024 -2025

The annual Installation Court Meeting took place at Coopers' Hall on 18th June 2024. The Clerk followed the historical procedure with the new Master and new Under, Upper and Renter Wardens once more reaffirming their commitment to the Worshipful Company of Coopers by retaking the Oath they read when they first joined the Company.

With the assistance of Beadle Scott Kelly, gowns and badges were removed by the outgoing Master and Wardens, and passed to the incoming Master and Wardens whom the Livery had voted to elect at Common Hall on 13th May 2024.

The Master and Wardens signed the Declaration Book to complete the proceedings. Our previous book was started in 1984 and with the final signature in 2023 being that of Assistant Nicola Fyfe and it was the honour of the incoming Master to be the first to sign the new Declaration Book which was hand bound recently by Shepherds' Bookbinders, London.

We warmly congratulate the new Master Leigh Johnson, Upper Warden Kevin Chapman, Under Warden Liam Randall and Renter Warden Helena Cooke who will hold office until a similar time in 2025.

We also thank Immediate Pastmaster John Fahy and retiring Upper Warden Alistair Hutchinson for their dedication and service to the Company over the last 12 months.

A three-course lunch was served in the Dining Room after the Court Meeting allowing time for the less formal and humorous speeches. 2024 - 2025 is the first time there has been a Mistress Cooper since Nicole Bousfield, wife of Perry, in 2022. Nicole presented Sarah Johnson with the Mistress Cooper brooch to wear during the next year.

Common Hall will be held on Monday 2nd June 2025.
